Volex. the power cables and data connectivity group, has announced that it has made two bid approaches to TT Electronics, both of which have been rejected by the directors of the latter. The second bid was a mixture of shares and cash which at the time of the proposal valued each TT share at 135.5p. Obviously the fact that shares in Volex have now fallen back since the news was released will have reduced the value of the bid. It remains to be seen whether Volex returns with another proposal and TT . . .
