The board of the company has noted the comments made by Iliad that the two companies are considering merging their Italian operations and confirms that it is in discussions with a number of companies regarding its Italian business although there is no guarantee that any transaction will take place. Although the share price moved up a little on the news, it is worth pointing out that when we tipped the shares last week they were at their lowest level in over 20 years. We continue to rate them as a BUY
