The company’s subsidiary Elemental Healthcare has announced a distribution deal with DistalMotion SA, a Swiss manufacturer of a new surgical robot. This robot will allow surgeons to swap from robotic to laparoscopic surgery and back again as required. Although the market for surgical robots in the UK is limited by the cost and the range of applications, this new ‘Dexter’ robot offers a broader range of surgical opportunities and should therefore be a more acceptable solution for both the NHS and private hospitals. This agreement will expand the product range distributed by Elemental and we maintain our recommendation of BUY.
