The environmental and engineering consultancy company has announced that it has acquired E3-Modelling S. A, a specialist consultancy involved in advanced empirical modelling across the transport, energy and environmental sectors. The modelling provides analysis of the impact of changes in energy policy on the economy and clients include the European Commission, national governments, energy regulators as well as companies in the energy and transport sectors. The company serves the same sectors as Ricardo so the acquisition makes sense. The cost of the purchase is £24m and Ricardo will own 93% of the equity. The companies . . .
