The specialist engineering group has announced that its subsidiary Chesterfield Special Cylinders Ltd has won a contract to supply safety-critical pressure vessels to the US Defence prime contractor General Dynamics Electric Boat. The latter is responsible for the design, construction and support for submarines for the US Navy. Although no financial figures have been given this is the first contract received from the customer and this provides a foundation for further contracts going forward.
