9 October 2024 - trading update

The pub operating group has announced a trading update covering the 52 weeks to 28 September and this has revealed that retail sales in the group's managed and franchised pubs were up 5.8% over the previous year.  Like-for-like sales were up 4.8% thus outperforming the broader market.  Growth was seen in both food and drink with food sales being particularly encouraging.  The company therefore believes it will achieve market expectations of underlying pre-tax profits of £40.5m for the year that has just ended excluding the brewing operations which . . .
