The company has announced the sale of Laois Hire Services Limited, an Irish large plant hire business, to Briggs Equipment Ireland Limited for €11.2m in cash. Laois Hire Services Limited represented approximately 4% of HSS Hire's turnover in 2019 so this appears to be a sensible move given the current valuation of the group. There is also an existing partnership between HSS Hire and Briggs so the two will extend their work together. The shares continue to look good value and this deal may persuade more investors to run their rule over HSS Hire . . .
