12 May 2010 – AGM statement
At today’s AGM, the UK’s only quoted cinema chain gave an update on current trading, revealing that in the 18 weeks to 6 May, total revenues were 13.9% higher than the comparable period last year. This strong performance has been driven by box office hits such as ‘Avatar’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’. New releases due shortly, such as ‘Robin Hood’ and ‘Sex and The City 2’ are to be released before the start of the World Cup. Thus first half results should be well ahead of last year. The shares sport a yield of over 5.3%, stand on a modest rating and look set for further growth. BUY.
