8 January 2018 – bid for new frigate
The group is leading a team of industry partners including Thales, Ferguson Marine, BMT and Harland & Wolff to bid for the contract to build the new Type 31e Frigate for the UK Navy. This is clearly an exciting project and one factor in favour of the bid is that the economic benefits will be shared across the UK, with facilities on the Clyde, in Belfast and Devon all set to be involved. We continue to rate the shares as a BUY.
