The satellite communications group Avanti has announced that it has won a contract with Telkom Kenya to provide services for a Kenyan government initiative which is seeking to bring internet communications to various areas of the country so that young adults and entrepreneurs can develop their ICT skills. This is clearly a further endorsement of the group’s capabilities and although the group remains under financial pressure we believe the shares warrant a rating of SPECULATIVE BUY.
